This five-day Piaya and Lake Natron route combines supported walking and wildlife areas. It is an adaptable example, not a fixed departure: permissions, road access, camps and daily stages require current confirmation.
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Natron
Drive to Lake Natron and, when conditions and access permit, take a locally guided waterfall walk. Overnight in confirmed accommodation.
Day 2: Lake Natron to Piaya
Transfer to the authorised starting point and walk towards Piaya with local support. Distance and pickup options depend on heat, water and road conditions.
Day 3: Serengeti area
A Serengeti visit from Piaya must be assessed carefully because access, gate hours and driving time can make the original schedule unrealistic. We may recommend an extra night or a different sequence.
Day 4: Piaya to Malambo and Lake Natron
Walk an agreed stage before meeting the support vehicle. Any spring or community experience is subject to current access and host consent. Accommodation may be a camp or lodge; entering homes or requesting staged dances is not assumed.
Day 5: Lake Natron, Engaruka and Arusha
Return to Arusha, adding Engaruka only when opening arrangements and travel time allow.
Current quotation
Old fixed euro prices are no longer reliable. The quotation identifies transport, accommodation, meals, staff and fees, plus exclusions such as international flights, visa, insurance, optional activities, drinks, personal purchases and voluntary tips.
